The short version
One Star has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email. Your game progress stays in your own browser.
Your game progress
Your guesses, results and streaks are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to our server. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and they don't carry over between devices.
Visitor counts
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. We see totals such as the number of visitors per day, the countries they come from, and the kind of device they use.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers process basic request information such as your IP address in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Links to other sites
After a puzzle we may show a link to tours and tickets on GetYourGuide. Some of these are affiliate links, which means One Star may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you. We may also link to a tip page. Those sites have their own privacy policies and may use cookies once you visit them.
Fonts
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.
Children
One Star is a general-audience game and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If we add advertising or anything else that changes what's collected, we'll update this page and the date above first.
